Most strategies fail between the document and the doing. Funding does not come, the market cannot price the brief, the build stalls, or the thing launches and nobody runs it. We frame the problem, build the working version early so decisions are made on something real, take it to market with a brief good suppliers can answer, and then manage the programme that follows. This is where most of our work with government starts, and it is the practice the firm grew out of.
From business case to programme management.
- Problem framing, options analysis and business cases that clear Treasury, cabinet or the board
- Rapid prototyping and working demonstrators, with real data where we can get it
- Business analysis, requirements and product design for government users
- AI strategy, governance and use case prioritisation, without the hype
- Data and digital advisory, including legacy modernisation and platform selection
- Market scans, sourcing strategy, RFx design and tender management
- Evaluation frameworks, probity support, commercial negotiation and contract management
- ICT and technology sourcing for government and complex enterprise
- Project Management as a Service (PMaaS): a project manager and team for the programme that follows, without a permanent headcount
- Programme and portfolio management office (CPMO) set-up and operation
A working prototype changes the conversation. Executives stop debating a slide and start reacting to a thing.
We build early, use what we learn to sharpen the case, the requirements and the roadmap, and then design a procurement that starts with the problem, not the template. Procurement, on its own, is a tool in the kit. It works best when it follows a case and a prototype the organisation already believes in.
When the programme is funded, the same team can run it: our PMaaS and CPMO services are how Nuvanta stays on after the business case, and they are delivered through the Nuvanta Pathway described on the How we deliver page.
